Job summary

Complete Staff Solutions is seeking a Laboratory Relocation Assistant to support a major move from West Ryde to North Ryde. This full-time, temporary role runs through to 31 January 2027 and includes hands-on duties, basic reception support, and a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

No lab testing or scientific work is required, but prior lab or equipment experience and customer service skills are valued. Training will be provided and work occurs Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Current drivers licence required.
• Forklift licence desirable.
• Experience in customer service, warehousing, logistics or production or similar hands-on environment preferred.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to follow instructions carefully and consistently.
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever required.
• Good communication with team members.
• Careful handling of equipment and materials.
• Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Unpacking laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Move equipment and materials short distances within the laboratory under instruction.
• Support relocation team with general warehouse and logistics tasks.
• Receive and organise deliveries.
• Provide general operational support as required.
• Occasional reception support (answering phones, receiving deliveries).
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and work instructions.

Working alongside experienced laboratory staff, you will provide practical, hands-on support to the laboratory team throughout a major laboratory relocation project from West Ryde to North Ryde. This is a temporary assignment running through to 31 January 2027, offering full-time hours, Monday to Friday. This is not a laboratory testing or scientific role however if you have had experience handling sensitive lab equipment or working in a lab environment and customer service skills this will be highly regarded. Training will be provided.

Key responsibilities

Assisting with unpacking laboratory equipment and supplies

Moving equipment and materials short distances within the laboratory under instruction

Supporting the relocation team with general warehouse and logistics tasks

Receiving and organising deliveries

Assisting with general operational support wherever required

Providing occasional reception support, including answering phones and receiving deliveries

Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment

Following all safety procedures and work instructions carefully

About you

Current Drivers Licence (essential)

Forklift Licence (desirable)

Previous experience in customer service, warehousing, logistics or production, or a similar hands-on environment (preferred but not essential)

A strong commitment to workplace safety

• Monday to Friday 7.5 hours per day (38 hours per week)

• 5 days per week on-site at West Ryde and North Ryde

• Immediate start (pending reference checks and Police Check)
