Job summary

SA Health SA Pathology in Adelaide is seeking an Operational Services Officer to support the delivery of efficient laboratory services. You will collaborate with medical, scientific, technical, operational and administrative staff and be a reliable contact for clients and stakeholders.

You will sort and accession specimens, accurately enter data, and assist with preparation, storage and transport of specimens, under general supervision.

Qualifications

• Reliable, detail-focused and customer-oriented professional who can work with limited supervision in a busy laboratory environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with a commitment to quality and safety, able to stay calm under deadlines.
• Laboratory experience in pathology with understanding of specimen handling and information flow.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of effective and efficient laboratory services at SA Pathology.
• Sort and accession specimens, enter data, and assist with preparation, storage and transport of specimens.
• Be a point of contact for internal and external customers, responding to enquiries about specimens, testing and results.
• Work as part of a supportive team where communication and initiative contribute to excellent service.
