Job summary

ALS Geochemistry in Kalgoorlie is seeking a Work Order Write Up Assistant to support a fast-paced minerals preparation and analytical laboratory. The role focuses on data entry into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and related clerical duties.

You will file, archive, input methods into GEMS, verify CPT details, assign method codes and ensure invoicing accuracy while liaising with management for turnaround times. Hands-on training is provided across the lab operations.

Qualifications

• Good alpha/numeric skills and the ability to handle data accurately.
• Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external clients.
• Computer proficiency with Excel, Word and OneNote; attention to detail is essential.
• Experience in a laboratory environment is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Filing, archiving and updating records as required.
• Screening phone calls and escalating as needed to appropriate personnel.
• Inputting analytical methods and data into GEMS.
• Assigning method codes and correcting invoices and credits.
• Ensuring pricing is correct for active and new work orders.
• Liaising with management to obtain turnaround times and ETAs.
• Hands-on training will be provided across lab prep areas.
