Job summary

Australian Laboratory Services Pty Ltd seeks multiple Sample Preparers for our Geochemistry site in Kalgoorlie. You will crush, split and pulverize mineral samples for laboratory analysis, working in a dusty environment with PPE required.

This is a full-time role with day and night rosters and a pattern of 8 consecutive days on, 4 days off. Responsibilities include handling rock and drill chips, operating crushers and weigh scales, and performing manual tasks on a production line.

Qualifications

• Be physically and mentally fit to perform repetitive manual tasks.
• Be reliable, responsible with excellent attendance.
• Good verbal and writing skills with number recognition.
• Follow safety, quality and conduct procedures.

Responsibilities

• Handle rock, core and drill chips.
• Operate sample preparation equipment – crushers, pulverisers, splitters, weigh scales.
• Perform routine manual tasks, including lifting and being on your feet all day.
• Numerical sorting and labelling of samples.
• Wear mandatory PPE including a respirator.
• Work as part of a team to achieve daily production targets.
