Job summary

Northern Rivers Community Gateway is seeking a compassionate Community Engagement & Support Officer to join the Kyogle Neighbourhood Centre team. You will assist individuals and families with intake, information and referrals, supporting access to services and community programs.

This permanent part-time role offers meaningful work, a collaborative environment and opportunities to strengthen social inclusion and wellbeing in the local community.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in community services or equivalent experience.
• Experience in client intake and community engagement.
• Trauma-informed, strengths-based, person-centred approaches.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide client intake, initial assessments, information and referrals.
• Assist clients to access community services and government programs.
• Provide practical support, brief interventions and follow-up.
• Support planning and delivery of community activities and events.
• Build relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and local organisations.
• Maintain accurate client records and program documentation.
