Northern Rivers Community Gateway is seeking a compassionate Community Engagement & Support Officer for the Kyogle Neighbourhood Centre. The role involves client intake, information/referral services, and helping individuals and families access local services.

You will support social inclusion, wellbeing activities and build partnerships with local organisations while maintaining records and contributing to a welcoming, inclusive community.

Qualificações

• Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in community services.
• Experience in client intake and community engagement.
• Ability to connect people with relevant services.
• Experience supporting community programs or events.
• Trauma-informed, strengths-based and person-centred approaches.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound administrative skills and computer literacy.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Provide client intake, initial assessments, information and referrals to individuals and families seeking support.
• Assist clients to access community services, government assistance and other relevant programs.
• Provide practical assistance, brief interventions and appropriate follow-up to clients.
• Support the planning and delivery of community activities, workshops and events.
• Build positive relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, local service providers and community organisations.
• Promote community participation, social inclusion and wellbeing through local initiatives.
• Assist with day-to-day operation of the Kyogle Neighbourhood Centre, including reception and administrative duties.
• Maintain accurate client records, case notes and program documentation.
