Kennards Major Projects (KMP) is recruiting a Hire Controller to coordinate equipment hire across Australia's major sites and support project managers with admin and contract tasks.

Kennards Major Projects (KMP) supports some of Australia’s largest construction and infrastructure projects, working closely with our customers, Project Managers and branch network to keep projects moving.

We’re looking for a Hire Controller to join our KMP team and provide high-quality coordination and support across a portfolio of major projects.

About the role

This is a fast-paced role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll be coordinating hire requirements, working with multiple stakeholders and helping make sure our customers get the equipment and service they need, when they need it.

What you'll be doing

Working closely with our KMP Project Managers, customers and Kennards Hire branches, you’ll:

• Coordinate equipment hire requirements across a portfolio of major projects
  
• Create and manage hire contracts and ensure information is accurate and up to date
  
• Liaise with branches to coordinate equipment availability, deliveries and project requirements
  
• Maintain regular communication with customers and provide support when Project Managers are unavailable
  
• Raise purchase orders and provide administrative support to Project Managers
  
• Convert approved quotes and help coordinate equipment requirements
  
• Monitor project activity and follow up outstanding actions
  
• Maintain accurate information within Baseplan and other relevant systems
  
• Work closely with the wider KMP team to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience
  
• Support our Quality Operations Management standards and safe ways of working

About you

You’re organised, proactive and comfortable managing plenty of moving parts at once. You enjoy solving problems, communicating with different people and making sure things get done.
