Job summary

Kennards Hire on the Gold Coast is seeking a Service Person Driver to support customers with expert guidance, pickups, deliveries and ensuring equipment is ready for hire. You’ll receive full training and ongoing support to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

With a base salary of $70,000 plus super, profit share and weekend allowance, you’ll join Australia’s largest family-owned equipment hire company and benefit from ongoing development, great team culture and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service skills and clear communication.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive various vehicles.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to equipment handling and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Instruct customers on safe use of equipment.
• Perform pickup and delivery of equipment to customer sites.
• Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic servicing as required.
• Assist with loading/unloading and check-in/check-out inspections.
• Support branch facilities and equipment when needed.

About the role

Asthe Kennards Hire representative to our customers, we support you with thetraining and development you need to be successful in your role. The Service Person Driver is the critical link between a Kennards Hire branch, ourcustomers and their projects, big or small. You’ll be in charge of everythingthat makes our customers’ job easy; expert advice, pickups, deliveries andmaking sure our equipment is ready for hire.

This role requires you to;

• Instruct and demonstrate to customers on how to safely use our equipment.
• As the Driver, perform pickup and delivery of equipment from customer sites, which includes safely loading and unloading of equipment
• Provide exceptional customer service in all customer interactions
• Maintain the high standard and quality ofequipment through regular servicing and minor repairs.
• Perform cleaning of branch facilities and maintenance of equipment as required
• Perform equipment ‘check in’ and ‘check out’ inspections

About you

• Successful applicants have come from various backgrounds such as; Customerservice, building & construction, hospitality, retail, driver, landscaping, trade & maintenance.
• A valid driver's licence
• The availability to work weekends on a rotating roster
• This role requires some physical components including lifting and standing on your feet for long periods. A level of physical fitness is required and the ability to pass a drug test
• Be proactive and keen to learn new skills
• An interest in machinery and equipment, although training will be provided
• A positive attitude and team player
