Job summary

The Kennards Hire team in Adelaide is seeking a Service Person Driver to support customers with expert advice, pickups, deliveries and ensuring equipment is ready for hire. You’ll be the critical link between branches and customers, delivering a high standard of service and maintaining gear through regular servicing and simple repairs.

You’ll need a valid driver’s licence, a proactive attitude and the ability to handle physical tasks. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, building & construction, hospitality, retail, driver, landscaping, or trade & maintenance.
• A valid driver's licence.
• This role requires some physical tasks including lifting and standing for long periods; ability to pass a drug test.
• Be proactive and keen to learn new skills.
• Interest in machinery and equipment; training will be provided.
• A positive attitude and team player.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and demonstrate to customers on how to safely use our equipment.
• As the Driver, perform pickup and delivery of equipment from customer sites, including loading and unloading.
• Provide exceptional customer service in all interactions with customers.
• Maintain the high standard and quality of equipment through regular servicing and minor repairs.
• Perform cleaning of branch facilities and maintenance of equipment as required.
• Perform equipment ‘check in’ and ‘check out’ inspections.

About the role

Asthe Kennards Hire representative to our customers, we support you with thetraining and development you need to be successful in your role. The Service Person Driver is the critical link between a Kennards Hire branch, ourcustomers and their projects, big or small. You’ll be in charge of everythingthat makes our customers’ job easy; expert advice, pickups, deliveries andmaking sure our equipment is ready for hire.

This role requires you to;

About you

• Successful applicants have come from various backgrounds such as; Customerservice, building & construction, hospitality, retail, driver,landscaping, trade & maintenance.
• A valid driver's licence
• This role requires some physical components including lifting and standing on your feet for long periods. A level of physical fitness is required and the ability to pass a drug test
• Be proactive and keen to learn new skills
• An interest in machinery and equipment, although training will be provided
• A positive attitude and team player
