Job summary

Palm Lake Group is seeking a reliable Kitchenhand for Palm Lake Resort Toowoomba. The role supports the culinary team to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen, ensuring residents and guests enjoy every dining experience.

The position is part-time, 8 hours per week, with dinner shifts on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30pm to 7:30pm, requiring flexibility and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety in a busy resort kitchen.

Qualifications

• Kitchen/catering experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safe work practices.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a close-knit team.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs/cook with basic food preparation and service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen and dining areas.
• Wash, sanitise, and store dishes, utensils, and equipment properly.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Support stock rotation and assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries.
• Empty rubbish bins and ensure waste is disposed of safely and hygienically.
• Clean food preparation areas, fridges, ovens, and other kitchen equipment.
• Follow workplace health and safety guidelines and report hazards promptly.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Position Details

We’re looking for a reliable and dedicated Kitchenhand to join our Palm Lake Resort Toowoomba team. You will play an essential role in supporting our culinary team by maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring residents and guests enjoy every dining experience.
