Job summary

Pelican Waters Golf Club, nestled on the Greg Norman course, is seeking a reliable Kitchenhand to support the Cardon Restaurant team. You will help with basic food prep, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safety and efficiency in a busy kitchen.

This part-time role offers 20 hours per week across 6am–10pm, seven days, with opportunities to grow in a vibrant, supportive food service environment on the Sunshine Coast. Applicants should value teamwork and high standards of hygiene.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen/café/catering experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safe work practices.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a close-knit team.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs/cooks with basic food preparation and service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen and dining areas.
• Wash, sanitise, and store dishes, utensils, and equipment properly.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Support stock rotation and assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries.
• Empty rubbish bins and ensure waste is disposed of safely and hygienically.
• Clean food preparation areas, fridges, ovens, and other kitchen equipment.
• Follow workplace health and safety guidelines and report hazards promptly.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Position Details

We’re looking for a reliable and dedicated Kitchenhand to join our Pelican Waters Golf Club team. You will play an essential role in supporting our culinary team in our Cardon Restaurant by maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring residents and guests enjoy every dining experience.

This is a Part Time position, working 20 hours per week between 6am to 10pm, Monday to Sunday.
