Job summary

Palm Lake Care Toowoomba is seeking Food Service Assistants to join our team on a Casual or Part Time basis, working a range of shifts available between Monday to Sunday 24 hours.

Night and weekend shifts available with penalty rates. Responsibilities include preparing meals, presenting them attractively, and providing excellent resident-focused service while adhering to Food Safety Standards.

Qualifications

• National Police Check required
• Experience in a similar role within Aged Care essential
• Knowledge of Food Safety Standards

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents
• Work with Cook to present meals attractively and ensure correct portions
• Respect residents' preferences and dietary needs while serving food and beverages
• Serve morning and afternoon teas and assist with stock rotation
• Assist with dishwashing and maintain high cleanliness standards
• Deliver excellent customer service to residents and families

Palm Lake Care Toowoomba is seeking Food Service Assistants to join our team on a Casual or Part Time basis, working a range of shifts available between Monday to Sunday 24 hours.

Responsibilities

• The preparation of serving nutritious and attractive meals to our residents
• Working with the Cook to ensure meals are plated and presented in an attractive and appeasing manner.
• Understanding and respecting our resident's preferences and ensuring all food and beverage is served accordingly.
• Serving and distribution of morning and afternoon teas
• Assisting the Cook with the ordering and rotating of food stocks
• The cleaning of dishes after each meal ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is maintained for our residents.
• Delivering excellent customer service to our residents and their families

What We’re Looking For:

• Motivated individuals focused on providing the best support for our residents
• A current National Police Check
• Prior experience in a similar role within Aged Care essential
• Readiness and willing to learn new skills
• The ability to manage competing priorities and take initiative
• Ability to work as a part of a team in a proactive support role to cook
• A Knowledge of Food Safety Standards
