Job summary

Crown Sydney is seeking reliable and hardworking Kitchen Stewards to join our team across a range of premium restaurants and kitchens. This role supports culinary operations and maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.

You will operate dishwashing equipment, clean and organise utensils, assist with waste removal, and support chefs in day-to-day operations. A rotating 24/7 roster is required; experience in stewarding or a similar role is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must work well in a team and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
• Be physically capable of lifting, carrying and cleaning duties.
• Follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
• Experience in stewarding, kitchen hand, cleaning or similar role preferred.

What you'll be doing

As a Kitchen Steward, you'll play a vital role in supporting our culinary operations and ensuring our kitchens maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating commercial dishwashing equipment and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
• Cleaning, organising, and storing kitchen utensils, cookware, and equipment.
• Assisting with waste removal and maintaining hygienic work areas.
• Supporting chefs and kitchen teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Contributing to a safe, clean, and efficient workplace environment.

About you

We’re looking for team players who:

• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• Take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
• Are comfortable with physically active work, including lifting, carrying, and cleaning duties.
• Can follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
• Have previous experience in a stewarding, kitchen hand, cleaning, or similar role (preferred but not essential).
• Are available to work a rotating 24/7 roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
