Rydges Adelaide is seeking a reliable Kitchen Steward to support the chefs, keep the kitchen clean and organized, and maintain high hygiene standards across busy services.

The role suits someone proud of attention to detail, with a willingness to work early mornings, evenings and weekends to support events and daily operations. Training and career growth opportunities are available within EVT’s hotel network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as Kitchen Steward or similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and support chefs.
• Willingness to work rotating rosters including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitise crockery, cookware and kitchen equipment to high standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls and benches.
• Assist chefs with basic food prep and delivery of clean equipment.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling per procedures.
• Operate dishwashing machines safely and report faults.
• Set up and pack down kitchen areas for events and services.
• Monitor stock of cleaning supplies and consumables.
• Follow WHS, hygiene and food safety procedures at all times.
