Job summary

Elements of Byron on the stunning Byron Bay coast is seeking a reliable Dishwasher to join our kitchen team in a casual, part-time role with up to 30 hours per week. Afternoon and evening shifts are the focus, so availability during those times is essential.

You will wash dishes, keep wash-up areas clean and safe, assist with basic kitchen tasks, follow food safety standards, handle chemicals safely, and help dispose of rubbish.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Willing to work flexible shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Keeping wash-up areas clean, organised and safe.
• Assisting with basic kitchen duties as required.
• Following food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Handling cleaning chemicals and equipment safely, following guidelines.
• Collecting and disposing of rubbish from all kitchen areas during and after shifts.

We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team in a casual role, with up to 30 hours per week available. This position predominantly focused on afternoon and evening shifts, so availability during those times is essential.

Key responsibilities:

• Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Keeping kitchen and wash-up areas clean, organised, and safe
• Assisting with basic kitchen duties as required
• Following food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Handling cleaning chemicals and equipment safely, following all relevant guidelines
• Collecting and correctly disposing of rubbish from all kitchen areas during and after each shift

About you

• Strong attention to detail with a high standard of cleanliness
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends
• Valid working rights in Australia
• Minimum commitment of 4 months
• Previous experience is an advantage but not essential
