Job summary

Churches of Christ, Residential Aged Care – Warwick is seeking reliable Kitchen Hands for casual shifts to support residents in a warm, home-like environment.

You will assist with meal preparation, serve meals, keep dining areas clean, and follow food safety guidelines. Flexibility for day and afternoon shifts, and current Police Check or willingness to obtain is required.

We offer competitive casual rates with 25% loading and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or hospitality (aged care desirable).
• Good communication and respectful approach with residents and colleagues.
• Current Police Check or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to work across day and afternoon shifts.
• Hold Australian work rights - sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

About The Role

Looking for a hands-on role where you can make a real difference in people’s everyday lives? We’re seeking reliable and caring Kitchen Hands to support our Warwick Aged Care Service, helping to create a safe and welcoming environment where residents feel at home.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Assisting with meal preparation and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
• Serving meals and setting up / cleaning dining areas, trolleys and trays
• Following food safety, infection control, and workplace health and safety guidelines
• Cleaning and maintaining work areas to required hygiene standards

About You

• Previous experience in catering or hospitality (aged care experience desirable)
• Good communication skills and a respectful approach with residents and colleagues
• Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to work across day and afternoon shifts
• Hold valid Australian Work Rights - Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor

Desirable

• Food Handling Certificate or similar qualification
