Churches of Christ in Queensland is seeking Environmental Service Workers for our Warwick Aged Care Service. This casual pool offers flexible shifts across weekdays and weekends, supporting cleaning, laundry, kitchen and dining duties to help keep residents comfortable and well cared for.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms and shared spaces.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold and distribute linen and residents' clothing.
• Assist with basic meal preparation and food service.
• Set up and clear dining areas, trays and meal trolleys.
• Clean kitchen, dining and laundry equipment.
• Follow food safety and workplace safety procedures.

We are building a casual pool of Environmental Service Workers to support our Warwick Aged Care Service.

This is a great opportunity for local applicants looking for flexible work within a welcoming and supportive environment. You will help create a clean, comfortable and enjoyable home for our residents by assisting across cleaning, laundry, kitchen and dining services.

Casual shifts will be available across weekdays and weekends, with opportunities to work in different areas of the service according to operational needs.

You will also bring:

• A friendly and respectful approach when working around residents;

• Flexibility to work a range of casual shifts across weekdays and weekends;
• An understanding of workplace hygiene and safety;

Previous experience in aged care, hospitality, cleaning, laundry or food services will be highly regarded; however, it is not essential. We are also interested in hearing from reliable local applicants with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Your day may include

Depending on the needs of the service, your shifts may involve:

• Cleaning residents' rooms, shared spaces and other areas of the service;
• Sorting, washing, drying, folding and distributing linen and residents' clothing;
• Assisting with basic meal preparation and food service;
• Setting up and clearing dining areas, trays and meal trolleys;
• Cleaning kitchen, dining and laundry equipment; and
• Following food safety, infection prevention and workplace safety procedures.

Warwick Aged Care Service is a 128-bed residential aged care community supporting older people to feel safe, comfortable and at home. Our Environmental Services team plays an important part in residents' everyday experience by keeping their surroundings clean, welcoming and running smoothly.
