Job summary

Churches of Christ in Queensland\'s Golden Age Aged Care in Southport is seeking a friendly kitchenhand to support meal preparation, dining service and laundry tasks. In this role, you'll play an important part in maintaining kitchen and residential areas, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for both residents and staff. Working at our Golden Aged Service, you'll be a part of a welcoming community and a supportive environment that keeps families connected.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, serving, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Set up and clean dining areas, trolleys, and trays.
• Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of residential areas throughout the facility.
• Responsible for laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding and distribution of linen and resident clothing; maintain the cleanliness of the laundry and equipment.

Key Selection Criteria

• Experience as kitchenhand or cleaner.
• Ability to acquire a National Police Certificate.
• Valid Australian work rights (no sponsorship available).
