Job summary

Aegis Greenfields is seeking energetic and experienced Kitchen Hands to support residents at the Greenfields facility in Mandurah, WA. You will prepare and serve meals according to dietary plans and maintain a clean kitchen in line with infection control standards.

We are seeking energetic and experienced Kitchen Hands for our Aegis Greenfields Facility.

Available shifts

Week 01

Thursday 15:30 - 19:30

Friday 15:30 - 19:30

Saturday 07:00 - 13:30

Sunday 07:00 - 13:30

Monday 15:30 - 19:30

Week02

Friday 15:30 - 19:30

Tuesday 15:30 - 19:30

You should ideally be an empathetic person who:

• Enjoys working with the elderly.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
• Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Aegis will provide:

A working day will involve:

• Preparing and serving resident’s meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus.
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment in accordance with infection control standards.
• Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.

You should possess the following:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare/Aged Care Industry).
• Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
• A knowledge of food safety.
• Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.

About the facility

Greenfields is a suburb located in Mandurah, south of Perth. Greenfields is easily accessible from the Kwinana Freeway's new extension and on the Perth to Mandurah train line.

Aegis Greenfields is an 'ageing in place' facility with High Care, Low Care and Extra Services accommodation available and has been designed to offer a broad range of accommodation and lifestyle options for 106 residents in five areas - Banksia, Tuart, Karri, Jarrah and Wandoo.

Accommodation comprises of single and double rooms, all with large ensuite bathrooms. The different areas or wings all have lounge and dining areas and access to walk paths which surround the gardens within the facility.
