Job summary

Aegis Anchorage Facility in Mindarie is seeking energetic and experienced Kitchen Hands to join our care-focused team. Shifts are available across weekdays and weekends, with hours including 15:30–19:30 and a morning service 07:00–14:00 on Mondays.

You will prepare meals according to dietary plans, maintain a hygienic kitchen, and ensure safe food handling. Australian working rights and police clearance are required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably Healthcare/Aged Care).
• Experience in food preparation and cooking for large numbers of people.
• Knowledge of food safety.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving resident meals according to dietary/care plans.
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment in accordance with infection control standards.
• Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.

You should ideally be an empathetic person who:

• Enjoys working with the elderly.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
• Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills.

A working day will involve:

• Preparing and serving resident’s meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus.
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment in accordance with infection control standards.
• Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.

You should possess the following:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare/Aged Care Industry).
• Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
A knowledge of food safety.
• Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.
