Job summary

Aegis Anchorage Facility in Mindarie, WA, is seeking energetic and experienced Kitchen Hands to prepare and serve residents’ meals according to dietary plans, while maintaining a clean, hygienic kitchen in line with infection control standards. Shifts include evenings and weekends across Week 01 and Week 02 schedules.

You should be empathetic, reliable, punctual and able to work both independently and as part of a team; full Australian working rights and ability to pass police clearance are

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (Healthcare/Aged Care preferred).
• Experience in food preparation and cooking for large numbers of people.
• Knowledge of food safety and handling practices.
• Full Australian working rights and ability to pass a police clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve residents' meals according to dietary/care plans.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen in line with infection control standards.
• Ensure correct food handling techniques are observed.

Week02

Thursday 15:30 - 19:30

Friday 15:30 - 19:30

Saturday 15:30 - 19:30

Monday 07:00 - 14:00

Tuesday 15:30 - 19:30

You should ideally be an empathetic person who:

• Enjoys working with the elderly.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
• Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills.

A working day will involve:

• Preparing and serving resident’s meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus.
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment in accordance with infection control standards.
• Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.

You should possess the following:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare/Aged Care Industry).
• Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
• A knowledge of food safety.
• Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.
