Job summary

Aegis Anchorage, Mindarie, WA, seeks compassionate Carers to provide respectful, person-centred support to older adults in a warm environment. The role covers daily living activities, personal care, companionship, and promoting independence while ensuring dignity and comfort.

You will engage residents in routines, assist with meals, and support medications per policy. Requirements include a Certificate III in Aged Care, full Australian working rights, police clearance, and a driving license.

Qualifications

The role involves assisting with daily living activities, personal care, companionship, and promoting independence while always ensuring dignity and comfort.

• Compassionate and patient, with a genuine passion for supporting elderly residents and promoting their dignity and independence.
• Experienced (or willing to learn) in assisting with personal care, mobility support, and daily living activities.
• Strong communicator who can build trusting relationships with residents, families, and the wider healthcare team.
• Reliable, observant, and attentive to changes in residents' health or wellbeing, with a commitment to reporting accurately.
• A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and maintains a positive, respectful attitude at all times.

This role focuses on delivering a high standard of lifestyle support that reflects each resident's individual preferences and aligns with best practice care. You will make a genuine difference in residents' lives by providing respectful, safe, and person-centred assistance with:

• Engaging Residents in daily routines and meaningful activities that enhance wellbeing.
• Supporting and administering medications in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Assisting at mealtimes in line with Aegis' Excellence in Dining strategy to ensure an enjoyable and dignified dining experience.

You will need to have:

• A certificate III in Aged Care (or higher/equivalent).
• Full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
• Preferably someone living in the local area.
• Should have your own car and driving license.
