HOTA, Home of the Arts on the Gold Coast is seeking a Kitchen Attendant to support the culinary team. You will maintain a clean kitchen, assist with stock checks and uphold food safety and health standards.

Applicants should have 1 year of similar experience, strong communication, knowledge of WHS and HACCP, and be able to work evenings, weekends and public holidays. Training and staff discounts are offered.

Qualifications

• 1 year of practical kitchen/chef-hand experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Queensland health and safety regulations.
• Ability to listen to customer relations and respond appropriately.
• Positive and approachable demeanor.
• Previous kitchen hand or related role experience.
• Good understanding of food safety standards and legislation.
• Experience safe use of kitchen equipment and knives.
• Awareness of safe manual handling techniques.
• Current National Criminal History Check or willingness to obtain one.
• Current First Aid and CPR.

Responsabilités

• Maintain day-to-day kitchen cleaning and hygiene standards.
• Check stock and store items properly.
• Ensure a safe work environment and HACCP compliance.
• Adhere to all Queensland health and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef de Cuisine.
