Job summary

Select Plant Australia is a leading plant hire provider in Australia, seeking a Logistics Coordinator to drive delivery management, inventory control and site compliance on major construction projects in Sydney. The role focuses on just-in-time material delivery, coordinated with subcontractors and transport providers to maintain schedule integrity.

Qualifications

• Diploma holder or tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in construction logistics, materials coordination or site-based supply chain roles.
• Working knowledge of HVNL and Chain of Responsibility obligations.
• Experience with delivery management platforms and inventory management systems.
• Strong understanding of just-in-time delivery methodology on live construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Own and administer the platform as the single source of truth for site deliveries, bookings and logistics scheduling.
• Coordinate just-in-time delivery of materials aligned to the construction program and daily install sequence.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and transport providers to confirm delivery details and unloading requirements.
• Receive, verify and reconcile all delivery dockets against purchase orders; maintain site inventory system.
• Ensure transport activities comply with HVNL and CoR; conduct gate compliance checks and incidents investigations.
• Manage incoming quality checks on delivered materials against specifications; quarantine defective items.
• Report material cost and schedule performance against the construction program; allocate resources per program priorities.
• Coordinate Traffic Guidance Schemes and road permits; maintain approvals register.
