Job summary

Select Plant Australia, a major specialist plant hire provider, seeks a Delivery Manager to lead material flows, justify delivery timing and ensure traceability from arrival to installation. You will coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and transport providers to keep site logistics aligned with the construction program.

You will manage delivery dockets, inventory logging, and HVNL/CoR compliance, while driving safe, efficient operations and cost visibility across projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or tertiary qualification in an engineering discipline.
• Experience in construction logistics, materials coordination or site-based supply chain roles.
• Knowledge of HVNL and Chain of Responsibility obligations.
• Experience with delivery management platforms and inventory management systems.
• Strong understanding of just-in-time delivery on live construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Own and administer the platform as the single source of truth for all site deliveries, bookings and logistics scheduling.
• Coordinate just-in-time delivery of all materials, aligned to the construction program and daily install sequence.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and transport providers to confirm delivery details and unloading requirements.
• Receive, verify and reconcile delivery dockets against purchase orders; maintain site inventory management system.
• Ensure transport activities comply with HVNL/CoR; conduct gate compliance checks and lead investigations into incidents and non-conformances.
• Report material cost and schedule performance; allocate materials and logistics resources to engineers per program priorities.
• Coordinate Traffic Guidance Schemes, permits and road occupancy; maintain approvals register.
