Systems Analyst | API & Integration

Work as a Systems Analyst specialising in API and systems integration, translating complex policy, business and technical requirements into clear solutions across legacy government systems. This hybrid ACT contract offers significant integration and system modernisation work.

Location:ACT
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Contract Duration: Until June 2027, with a possible 18-month extension
Security Clearance Requirement: NV1
Closing Date: 10.00am, 14 September 2026

Essential Tasks

• Elicit, analyse and document business, system, data, interface and non-functional requirements.
• Translate legislative and policy reforms into clear, traceable and testable system, API and integration requirements.
• Analyse legacy systems, business rules, data flows, APIs and dependencies to identify required changes and risks.
• Develop API and integration specifications covering data mapping, validation, error handling, security and end-to-end data flows.

Key Criteria

• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining API and integration specifications.
• Strong experience as a Systems Analyst enhancing or modernising complex legacy systems.
• Ability to translate complex legislative and policy changes into implementable and testable requirements.
• Proven experience delivering complex integrations involving multiple business and technical stakeholders, including testing and defect management.
