SAGE Automation, a Tetra Tech company, seeks a Junior Engineer to join the National Operations Centre in Australia. You will blend learning with on‑the‑job training while working on real-world projects and supporting both internal and external customers.

Ideal candidates have an Electrical Engineering degree with 1–2 years post‑grad experience and knowledge of PLC/SCADA/HMI systems. You may be located in Melbourne, Adelaide or Brisbane and must pass a government background check.

We currently have an exceptional opportunity for talented and enthusiastic Junior Engineer to join our NOC team. You will have the opportunity to combine professional and technical learning, on-the job training alongside ongoing mentoring whilst working on real-world, innovative projects.

In this role, you will:

Apply creativity and resourcefulness to resolving problems that arise from engineering and support tasks and apply concepts and strategies that may require non-traditional methods to achieve overall results.

Provide high-quality customer service and maintain strong customer relationships.

Support a safety-first approach to every aspect of service delivery.

Assist with the first response or support the resolution for all new and urgent works as required.

Assist in identifying and mitigating technical risk, escalating high risk items to senior team members and management.

Learn to accurately document support and maintenance records and ensure they are kept up to date.

Skills & Experience:

Electrical Engineering degree with 1-2 years post graduate experience.

Demonstrate some knowledge of PLC, SCADA and HMI systems.

Previous experience with Siemens, Ignition, and FactoryTalk is highly desireable.

Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

Be highly motivated, enthusiastic, proactive and resourceful with a strong work ethic.

Have a strong desire and interest to work within the automation industry.

Able to embrace challenges and think on your feet in order to resolve problems.

You will ideally be located in Adelaide, Melbourne or Brisbane, and must be capable of passing a Government background and security check.
