An opportunity has become available for a Specification Manager to join an established global manufacturer with a strong reputation across the Australian architectural and design market.
The business has an extensive product portfolio, with solutions specified across commercial, healthcare, education, hospitality and other major projects.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has spent the last few years developing their career in A&D sales and is looking to take the next step with a globally recognised business.
With an established presence in the market, a strong product offering and the support of a broader sales team, you'll have the opportunity to further develop your relationships across the architectural and design community.
This position would suit someone with around 1 to 3 years of experience in specification or A&D sales who enjoys building relationships, getting in front of architects and designers, and being involved in projects from the early design stages.
As the Specification Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with architectural and interior design practices, identifying upcoming projects and influencing specifications across the commercial construction market.
You'll have the opportunity to work across a variety of projects, from commercial offices and hospitality venues through to healthcare, education and other major developments.
Importantly, the business is open to candidates from all architectural product backgrounds.
Whether you're currently representing lighting, furniture, textiles, surfaces, acoustic products, wall coverings, tapware or any other design-led product, what's most important is your experience working with the A&D community and your understanding of how specification sales work.
For someone who has already built a solid foundation in the industry and is looking for a bigger platform to continue developing their career, this could be a great next move.
Ideally, you'll have around 1 to 3 years of experience in specification sales or A&D business development within the architectural products industry.
You might currently be working for a smaller manufacturer or distributor, have developed a good network of architects and designers, and be looking for an opportunity to represent a larger, more established business.
Alternatively, you might already be working for a recognised brand but feel ready for a new product category, fresh relationships and an opportunity to further develop your career.
The business is genuinely open to candidates from different product backgrounds, provided you understand the specification process and have experience selling into the A&D market.
You'll ideally bring:
You don't need to have spent your entire career in one product category or have decades of experience.
If you've built a solid foundation in A&D sales, developed strong relationships and are ready to take the next step, this is exactly the type of background we're interested in.
This is an opportunity to join a globally recognised manufacturer with an established reputation, a comprehensive product range and strong support across the Australian market.
You'll be representing an established brand, working across a diverse range of commercial projects and continuing to develop relationships with architects and designers.
For someone with a few years of specification experience who enjoys the industry and wants to keep progressing, this is an opportunity to build on what you've already achieved while gaining exposure to a larger business.
If you're currently working in A&D sales and feel ready for your next move, I'd welcome a confidential conversation.
