Job summary

Department of Education Victoria seeks a Leading Teacher for the Junior School to lead and develop teaching and learning across Year 7–9. The role focuses on building capacity, modelling best practice, and driving inclusive, high-quality education in a growing two-campus junior program.

The successful candidate will work with the Assistant Principal - Junior School and Sub School Leaders to implement the Victorian Curriculum and SWPBS frameworks, fostering student wellbeing and achievement.

Qualifications

• Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
• Evidence-based practices and differentiated pathways for students.
• Leadership and management experience in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and build capacity of coordinators and teachers to create an inclusive junior school learning community.
• Coordinate staff across Year 7–9 with clear behaviour and engagement priorities.
• Model high-quality teaching and lead school improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Principal Team and Sub-school Leaders on strategic plan goals.
• Monitor and analyse whole-school data to drive improvements in learning outcomes.
