The role targets practical networking basics including Layer 2 switching, VLANs, basic routing, DHCP/DNS troubleshooting, and wireless support, with customer-facing communication and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Onsite support within approx. 30 minutes of the Coffs Harbour campus.
• Developing capability in Layer 2/3 networking and basic routing.
• Clear communication when assisting users and escalating as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite network support at a campus environment.
• Assist senior remote engineers and follow vendor escalation channels.
• Handle urgent network incidents during on-call periods; overtime paid.

Complete Staff Solutions are seeking a Part-Time Junior Network Support Engineer or early-career ICT/Networking Support Officer who can provide onsite support at a Coffs Harbour campus environment, backed by senior remote network engineers and vendor escalation channels.

Job details

Location: Must live within approximately 30 minutes of the Coffs Harbour campus

Casual Pay Rate: $42.14 - $45.57 per hour + super (dependant on skills, experience and qualifications)

Hours/Days: Initially part-time, generally one day per week onsite, with a requirement to be available for urgent callouts during the operational support period

The engagement is structured as follows

Onboarding Phase: 28 September 2026 to 27 November 2026

Operational Support Phase 1: 30 November 2026 to 18 December 2026

Operational Support Phase 2: 4 January 2027 to 27 February 2027

Onsite requirement: generally one day per week

On-call requirement: from 30 November 2026 through to 27 February 2027 for urgent network incidents

Callout arrangement: approved callout work will be paid at overtime rates

The role would suit someone with practical or developing capability in:

• Layer 2 switching, VLANs, access ports and trunk ports
• Basic Layer 3 routing concepts
• DHCP and DNS troubleshooting
• Wireless networking support
• Ping, ICMP, connectivity testing and structured network diagnostics
• Customer-facing support and clear communication
• Drivers Licence
• 2 x work related references
