Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in bookkeeping, AR/AP, or payroll.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency in Xero, with an understanding of the wider app ecosystem.
• Intermediate experience in MS Excel. Familiarity with MS Power Apps highly desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) or Cert IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process a variety of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense reports.
• Maintain organised and accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Assist in the creation of management reports, including variance analysis and other commentary.
• Creditor Management. You will oversee and review current automations, ensuring completeness and timely processing.
• Debtor management. Proactively liaise with staff and clients to ensure that queries are addressed.
• Support in the processing of company-wide payroll, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
• Regularly reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy of cash balances.
• Assist in the creation of process automation within both the finance function, and the company as a whole.
• Maintain a high level of data integrity across a number of systems, both financial and non-financial.
• Assist in the creation of financial models and budgets.
• Ensure transactions are supported by appropriate approvals and source documents.
