Job summary

Synergy is seeking an Accounts Payable Lead for a 9-month term at our Perth Central Park office. You will oversee daily AP operations, cash processing, and bank reconciliations, and lead a seven-person team to ensure accurate payments and compliance.

You will drive automation initiatives, improve controls, and act as the AP SME under the Payment Times Reporting Scheme. Strong leadership and ERP experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in accounts payable, finance operations, or treasury.
• Experience leading a team and coaching others.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of accounts payable, cash processing, and bank reconciliations in compliance with policies.
• Review and approve supplier payments, including foreign currency payments.
• Lead and develop a seven-person team to drive performance and continuous improvement.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and financial controls.
• Act as AP SME, resolving escalations and ensuring timely supplier payments under the Payment Times Reporting Scheme.
