Job summary

Dexus is seeking a motivated junior facilities/retail management professional for Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, Brisbane. You will assist with day-to-day operations, centre presentation, and coordinating contractor works, gaining exposure to safety, compliance and customer service across a major retail asset.

With some early experience in a shopping centre or retail setting, you will build relationships with retailers and the centre team while developing broader facilities management skills

Qualifications

• Experience in shopping centre or retail facilities management is preferred.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder skills are essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre and gain hands‑on experience across the day‑to‑day operations of a major retail asset. Working alongside an experienced and supportive operations team, you’ll gain exposure to contractors, retailers, maintenance, compliance, centre presentation and customer experience, while developing the broader technical skills to build your career in retail facilities management.

You will make an impact by:

• Supporting the day‑to‑day operations and presentation of the shopping centre.
• Building strong relationships with retailers, contractors and the wider centre team.
• Coordinating maintenance, repairs and contractor works.
• Supporting cleaning, security and other services that keep the centre running smoothly.
• Assisting with safety, compliance and operational activities.
• Responding to day‑to‑day facilities issues and helping coordinate timely solutions.
• Supporting tenancy works, projects and continuous improvements across the centre.
• Learning from an experienced team and building your knowledge across all areas of retail facilities management.

About You

You’re passionate about retail and bring a collaborative, positive and hands‑on approach. You’ve gained some early‑career experience within a shopping centre or retail environment and are now looking for an opportunity to take the next step into facilities management, with the mentoring, exposure and support to develop your career.

You will bring:

• Experience within a shopping centre or retail environment, whether across facilities, operations, security or customer service.
• A genuine interest in building a career in facilities management.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder skills, with confidence working with retailers, contractors and operational teams.
• A proactive, hands‑on approach and willingness to get involved in the day‑to‑day operation of the centre.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Some exposure to maintenance, contractors, safety or compliance would be advantageous, but you don’t need to be a technical facilities expert.
