Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking a Junior Electrical Project Manager to work under an experienced Senior Project Manager on electrical and communications projects. You’ll start by supporting coordination, documentation, procurement and site delivery, with progression to own projects over time.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Project Manager with planning, coordination and delivery of electrical projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, site teams and project stakeholders.
• Assist with schedules, budgets, procurement and documentation.
• Monitor progress, quality, safety and commercial outcomes.
• Gradually take ownership of project packages.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a well-established national provider of electrical, communications and technology solutions, delivering projects across commercial, defence, government and critical infrastructure environments.

As a Junior Electrical Project Manager, you will work closely with an experienced Senior Project Manager, supporting the delivery and coordination of electrical and communications projects.

This role is designed for someone who has built a solid foundation in electrical project delivery and is now ready to take the next step. You will initially support a Senior PM across project coordination, documentation, procurement, subcontractor management and site delivery, with the opportunity to progressively take ownership of your own projects and transition into a fully fledged Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Project Manager with the planning, coordination and delivery of electrical and communications projects
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, site teams and other project stakeholders
• Assist with project schedules, budgets, procurement, variations and project documentation
• Monitor project progress, quality, safety and commercial outcomes
• Gradually take ownership of individual project packages and smaller projects through to full project management responsibility

Key Requirements

• Electrical trade qualification, engineering qualification or relevant electrical project experience
• Previous experience in an electrical contracting, construction or project delivery environment
• Strong understanding of electrical construction processes, project coordination and site delivery
• Excellent organisation and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ambition to develop into a Project Manager and take on increasing responsibility
