You will lead major electrical projects from design through to completion, building high-performance teams and maintaining strong client relationships.

You will drive commercial outcomes with oversight of budgets, programmes and risk, while upholding Australian standards and HSEQ requirements.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading electrical projects in commercial, industrial or health sectors.
• Must demonstrate delivery of complex projects valued at $20M–$90M+.
• Strong commercial and contractual acumen with proven financial performance.
• Experience leading large multidisciplinary project teams.
• Knowledge of Australian electrical standards and HSEQ requirements.
• QLD Electrical Licence highly regarded; Electrical Engineering degree an advantage.

Following significant project wins and continued growth across Southeast Queensland, they are seeking an experienced Project Director – Electrical to take a senior leadership position within their Brisbane delivery team. This is an opportunity for an accomplished electrical construction professional to take ownership of major projects, provide strategic direction to project teams and play a key role in the commercial and operational performance of the business.

Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of major electrical projects from design through to completion, while developing high-performing teams and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide senior leadership and overall direction across major electrical projects
• Take accountability for project delivery, commercial performance, programme, quality and client satisfaction
• Lead and mentor Project Managers, engineers, supervisors and wider project teams
• Oversee project budgets, cost plans, procurement, forecasting and financial performance
• Drive project programmes and ensure key milestones are achieved
• Provide strategic oversight of design coordination, construction methodology and project planning
• Manage key client, consultant, subcontractor and supplier relationships
• Identify commercial opportunities, project risks and strategies to maximise project outcomes
• Monitor project performance and provide clear reporting to the Construction Manager and Senior Management
• Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual, technical, HSEQ and regulatory requirements
• Promote a collaborative, accountable and high-performance culture across project teams
• Contribute to business development, tendering and the identification of future growth opportunities
• Represent the company professionally and lead from the front across all project and stakeholder interactions

About You

You will be an established senior electrical construction professional with a strong track record delivering complex commercial, industrial or major health/hospital projects.

• Extensive experience in electrical project delivery, with progression into a senior project leadership role
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects valued at $20M – $90M+
• Strong commercial and contractual acumen, with a proven understanding of project financial performance
• Experience leading and developing large multidisciplinary project teams
• Strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards, construction practices and HSEQ requirements
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with Tier 1 clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, commercially minded approach to problem solving and project delivery
• A QLD Electrical Licence is highly regarded
• An Electrical Engineering degree or relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous
• A genuine desire to take ownership, lead people and contribute at a senior level within a high-performing contractor
