A junior project management opportunity with an electrical contractor based in Alexandria, NSW. You will take responsibility for electrical projects end-to-end with guidance from an experienced PM and leadership team.

The role suits someone with electrical experience who wants to build a career in project management. Ideal candidates may be site foremen or junior PMs seeking more responsibility, with strong procurement, scheduling and cost awareness.

Qualifications

• Electrical background or trade qualifications/licence or related building services experience.
• Experience in project coordination, PM or contract administration is beneficial.
• Knowledge of procurement, scheduling and project costs helpful.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for electrical projects from award to completion with support from senior PM.
• Manage schedules, programs, milestones and budgets.
• Coordinate with clients, head contractors, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Ensure WHS, quality and electrical compliance.
• Maintain project documentation including ITPs, O&M manuals and as-builts.

Are you a leading hand or site foreman ready to move into project management? Or a Junior PM looking for the next step? Our client is a growing electrical contractor based in Alexandria with a strong pipeline of commercial and industrial projects across NSW and Sydney. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join their team and develop into a Senior PM.

The Role

You will take responsibility for electrical projects from award through to completion, with support from an experienced PM and leadership team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage project schedules, programs and key milestones.
• Manage procurement, supplier quotes, purchase orders and material deliveries
• Manage project documentation, variations, RFIs and progress claims.
• Track project costs and budgets
• Coordinate with clients, head contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams
• Ensure WHS, quality and electrical compliance requirements are met.
• Maintain project documentation, including ITPs, O&M manuals and as-builts

About You

This role suits someone with an electrical background who wants to build a career in project management.

You may be:

• A site foreman with strong project coordination experience
• A Junior PM or Contract Administrator ready for more responsibility
• Someone with electrical or building services project experience who wants to progress

You will have:

• Electrical trade qualifications/licence or strong electrical/building services experience
• Previous project coordination, project management or contract administration experienceKnowledge of procurement, scheduling and project costs
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Clear communication and stakeholder management skills
• Current driver's licence
