Job summary

Cosmo Cranes Group Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a Junior Draftsman to support our drafting team. You will use AutoCAD to create and modify drawings, learn Cosmo’s drafting model, and contribute to projects across crane and construction domains.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a willingness to learn new drafting techniques with full training provided by the drafting team.

Qualifications

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Junior Draftsman. You will need great organisational & communication skills, be able to adapt to changes quickly, work well under pressure and help to maintain & continue to build upon the excellence of our team.

Key Requirements

Have Experience in AutoCAD

Should have good familiarity with common AutoCAD commands.

Can use & modify blocks (& dynamic blocks – better).

Familiarity of 3D Cartesian Space

Cosmo draw 99% in 2D, but the candidate must understand how drawn items relate to the 3D world around it.

Current technical & engineering literacy

Have a general understanding of how cranes move or work.

Have a general understanding of building construction & engineering.

Ability to learn new drafting concepts & techniques that may be unorthodox.

The short term goal is to assimilate oneself to the current Cosmo drafting model.

Skills & Attributes

Ability to work under pressure.

Can work on multiple projects at any given time.

Should have good time management & meet KPIs.

Full training will be provided along with support from the Drafting Team for the right candidate.
