Job summary

An established engineering consultancy in Illawarra is seeking a Mechanical Draftsperson to join the Design Services team. You will create 3D models and detailed 2D drawings, translating concepts into workable designs and collaborating with engineers to meet project requirements.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years' mechanical drafting experience, a drafting/engineering qualification or equivalent, proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Inventor, and knowledge of Australian standards.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical drafting or a related engineering design environment.
• A relevant drafting or engineering qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with 2D drafting and 3D modelling using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor or similar software.
• The ability to interpret and produce detailed engineering and fabrication drawings.
• An understanding of Australian drafting standards and engineering practices.
• Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

They're looking for a Mechanical Draftsperson to join their Design Services team, contributing to a variety of mechanical and industrial engineering projects.
