Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Commis Chef or completing a 4th-year Apprenticeship in a high-volume restaurant.
• Strong work ethic, adaptability and willingness to learn from Senior Chefs.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Chefs with daily mise en place.
• Run cold and hot sections during dinner service.
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards.
• Keep kitchen, dry store and fridge areas clean and organised.
• Collaborate with front of house to deliver a high-level dining experience.
• Engage with customers at the kitchen bar about dishes and Tasmanian experience.
