Saffire Freycinet on Tasmania’s east coast invites a driven Junior Sous Chef to join our award-winning kitchen. You’ll work closely with the Executive Chef to deliver memorable dining experiences and support day-to-day kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Has experience as a Junior Sous Chef or similar leadership role.
• Experience in premium, fine dining, luxury lodge environments.
• Demonstrates passion for food and local produce with high standards.

Responsibilities

• Support kitchen leadership and daily operations.
• Prepare and present high-quality dishes reflecting luxury standards.
• Collaborate with Executive Chef and broader kitchen brigade.
• Assist with menu execution and seasonal development.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and kitchen presentation.
• Mentor and support junior team members.
• Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
• Help create exceptional culinary experiences for guests.
