Job summary

Templ Constructions in Melbourne is seeking a junior carpenter who wants to learn the trade from the ground up. You’ll work on renovations and extensions, doing framing, lock up, decking, doors and windows, and other on-site tasks under an experienced supervisor.

We’re looking for someone early in their career who is teachable, asks questions, and is ready to grow with a small team. A White Card and driver’s license are essential, and you’ll need your own tool kit and a vehicle.

Qualifications

• Qualified carpenter early in your career, or a 4th year apprentice.
• Renovation experience is a bonus, not required.
• Current driver’s licence and White Card.
• Own tool kit and work vehicle required.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn on site.

Responsibilities

• Perform framing, lock up, fixing stage, decking, doors and windows on renovations.
• Read and interpret basic plans and sequences for jobs.
• Work under guidance of an experienced site supervisor on site tasks.

Junior Carpenter | Renovations and Extensions | Learn the Whole Build

Junior Carpenter wanted. You'll learn the trade, and how a whole house comes together.

Templ Constructions is a residential builder in Melbourne and the Yarra Valley. We do renovations, extensions and second storey additions, and every now and then a new build that pushes us.

We're after a junior carpenter who wants to be taught. Not someone who already thinks they know it all. Someone early in their career who wants to get properly good at carpentry and understand how a home gets built from start to finish.

We're looking for a young, self aware carpenter who's looking to not only grow on the building site, but chase personal growth alongside the team

What the job is

You'll work on the tools with our team, led by an experienced site supervisor. You'll do framing, lock up, Fixing stage, decking, doors and windows, and everything else in between.

You'll also learn the stuff most juniors never get shown: how to read a set of plans, why jobs get sequenced the way they do, how trades fit around each other, and what "done properly" looks like before a client sees it.

What we're looking for
