Job summary

Fox Hill Designs is seeking a reliable, practical person for a hands-on workshop role in Goulburn, NSW. Training will be provided for CNC edging and general machine operation. The role includes maintenance, stock management and occasional site visits.

The successful candidate will be comfortable with computers, accurate measuring and following job information. A forklift licence and White Card are preferred but not essential. Fridays are off under a four-day work week.

• Occasional operation of the panel saw.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning and basic fault finding.
• Report machine faults and servicing needs.
• Receive and check material deliveries and stock levels.
• Assist with project dispatches and loading/unloading.

Job description

Fox Hill Designs is looking for a reliable and practical person to join our workshop.

This is a hands on machine operating and workshop labouring role. No cabinet making qualification or previous joinery experience is required, as training will be provided.

The Role:

Your main responsibilities will include:

Operating CNC and edge bander

Occasional operation of the panel saw

Completing routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and basic fault finding

Reporting machine faults and servicing requirements

Using computers to access production files, job sheets and machine controls

Checking machined and edged components for accuracy, damage and finish quality

Checking and sorting cabinet components

Receiving and checking material/courier deliveries

Completing stocktakes and monitoring stock levels

Assisting with project dispatches (loading and occasional unloading)

Occasionally attending project sites when required

Keeping the workshop clean, safe and organised.

This is a physically active role involving regular manual handling of sheet materials and cabinet components.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

Is reliable, punctual and willing to learn

Can accurately follow measurements, labels and job information

Is proficient and confident using computers

Is comfortable working with machinery

Has a good attention to detail

Can follow job information and workshop procedures accurately

Takes responsibility for machine care and routine maintenance

Can work independently and as part of a small team

A Forklift licence and a White Card is preferred but not essential.

Experience in machinery, manufacturing, warehousing, dispatch, maintenance or another hands on role would be helpful, but is not required.

What We Offer:

A 38 hour, four-day work week

Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:00pm

Every Friday off

A varied role covering machinery, maintenance, materials and dispatch

Pay based on skills and experience
