Job summary

Ace Cabinet Materials is seeking casual factory workers and machine operators to join our busy manufacturing facility on the Sunshine Coast. You will operate CNC machines and edgebanders, prep and quality-check timber boards, and support general factory duties while adhering to WHS guidelines.

We offer a stable roster with overtime, early start hours from 6:00 am, and a competitive base rate of $37.50 per hour for casual work, with every other Friday rostered off and a strong team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery on a factory floor, preferably CNC or edgebander.
• Experience with timber or cabinet components is an advantage.
• Able to start early mornings and commit to a consistent roster.

Job description

We are a busy manufacturing facility looking for reliable, motivated Casual Factory Workers & Machine Operators to join our team on the factory floor.

In this role, you will be operating specialized machinery and ensuring our production lines run smoothly. If you have a strong work ethic, physical fitness, and a background in timber manufacturing or cabinet making, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating specialized factory machinery, including CNC machines and edgebanders.
• Cleaning, prepping, and quality-checking cabinet making boards.
• Assisting with general factory floor duties, material handling, and housekeeping.
• Adhering strictly to workplace health and safety (WHS) guidelines.

We offer a stable, consistent roster with plenty of regular hours and ongoing overtime. Your standard hours will be:

Week 1 (Monday to Thursday): 6:00 am – 3:15 pm (4-day week)

Week 2 (Monday to Friday): Monday to Thursday 6:00 am – 3:15 pm, and Friday 6:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Current Overtime: Due to a strong pipeline of work, we are currently working daily overtime until 4:00 pm (Monday to Thursday). You must be willing and available to complete these extended hours.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience operating machinery on a factory floor (CNC or edgebander experience is highly regarded).
• Experience handling or working with timber, cabinet making boards, or flat-pack components.
• Ability to work early morning starts (6:00 am) and commit to a consistent roster.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a team-player attitude.
