Job summary

R&R Cabinets in Melbourne's Western Suburbs is seeking an experienced CNC & Edge-Bander Operator to join our production team. You will operate CNC machinery, including the Anderson CNC, and edge-banding equipment to manufacture cabinet components.

A Forklift Licence is required, and you will move materials around the production floor and warehouse. You will read technical drawings, perform quality checks, maintain safety, and work with the team to hit daily targets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating CNC machinery and/or edge-banders within cabinet making or joinery is required.
• Experience with Anderson CNC machinery will be highly regarded.
• A current Forklift Licence is required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A reliable, punctual and positive attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing production priorities.
• Ability to safely lift and handle materials up to 15kg.

• Identify and troubleshoot machinery or production issues.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report faults promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures, policies and production requirements.
• Work collaboratively with the wider production team to achieve daily targets.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a CNC & Edge-Bander Operator, you will play an important role within our production team, operating CNC machinery, including our Anderson CNC, as well as edge-banding equipment to manufacture and finish high-quality cabinet components.

You will be responsible for ensuring machinery is operated safely and efficiently, production targets are met, and finished products consistently meet our high standards of quality.

Acurrent Forklift Licenceis also required, as you will assist with the movement and handling of materials throughout the production and warehouse areas.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Set up and operate CNC machinery and edge-banders in accordance with job specifications.
