Job summary

Marinara Restaurant & Café Paddington is seeking a talented Station Chef to manage general cookery, preparation and presentation of authentic Italian cuisine. You will lead station cooks, uphold food safety standards and support efficient back-of-house operations.

The role requires at least 1 year of chef experience in a similar setting, and formal certs (Certificate IV and Diploma). You will work under pressure, maintain hygiene and contribute to a collaborative kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a chef in a similar establishment.
• Certificate IV and Diploma.
• Team player with ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Undertake general cookery, preparation and presentation of quality food.
• Assist in back of house operations while maintaining high product presentation standards.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and tools to correct standards.
• Lead by example and support less experienced Food & Beverage staff.
• Contribute to Marinara's WHS processes and safe work practices.
• Undertake duties pertaining to total quality service delivery.
• Supervise station cooks and kitchenhands.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene.
• Report hazards and document accidents/incidents.
