Job summary

Vino Granito Italian Restaurant in Stanthorpe, QLD, is seeking a dedicated, full-time Chef/Cook with at least 3 years of experience in Italian cuisine to join our team. The successful candidate will bring a strong eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure in a small team.

The role requires weekends/public holidays availability and duties include ensuring all dishes align with restaurant standards, maintaining recipe adherence, portion control, stock management, and kitchen hygiene

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a cook in Italian cuisine.
• Relevant qualification in cookery.
• Willing to work weekends and public holidays.
• Hard working, responsible and honest.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dishes in line with Vino Granito Italian Restaurant standards.
• Maintain quality and presentation, check freshness and portion control.
• Portion control for pasta, meats, poultry, seafood and dry goods.
• Check supplies against invoices and store correctly.
• Ensure hygiene and cleanliness of kitchen and waste areas.
• Assist with month-end stock takes of stock and ware.
