Job summary

Gilmour Space Technologies in Bowen, North Queensland, seeks an experienced IT Support Officer to deliver end-user and systems support both on-site and remotely. You will install, configure, and maintain desktops, servers, and network devices, while managing licenses and asset inventories.

You will work within a remote team, troubleshoot across Windows environments, Exchange/Teams, and Office 365, and contribute to ICT documentation and ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in IT related field, system engineering or system administration
• Evidence of outstanding results and desire to become a star in our Orbit journey
• Experience provisioning desktop/laptop/mobile hardware/software and basic user & security group Active Directory administration
• Experience with TCP/IP networks and Microsoft OS & enterprise apps (Exchange, Teams)
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and continuous improvement
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a support mindset
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise work
• Experience working in a remote team

Responsibilities

• Field incoming help requests from end users and provide exceptional support to internal staff (Level1/2) on-premises and remotely
• Troubleshoot HW/SW issues in a timely manner
• Install and configure HW/SW (desktops, servers, switches, routers, APs, printers)
• Provision hardware/software, licenses and keep asset inventory up to date
• Apply diagnostic utilities to aid troubleshooting
• Develop, test, and deliver new systems and solutions
• Perform preventative maintenance on workstations and peripherals
• Maintain ICT support documentation
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding of employees
• Assist with purchasing HW/SW and researching latest technology
• Travel within state up to 2 weeks to support manufacturing site operations
• Other duties as requested by Management
