Job summary

Strikeforce AMC in Mount Waverley, VIC, seeks an IT Support Specialist to manage day-to-day IT systems. Reporting to the CIO, you will install, configure and maintain hardware, software and networks, troubleshoot issues, and support users across the company.

You will help roll out new applications and create essential documentation while building strong relationships with developers and staff. The role requires a technical mindset, 3+ years in IT support, and a formal IT qualification.

Qualifications

• 3+ years IT support experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux OS, networks, hardware and software.
• Ability to explain solutions to non-technical users.
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines.
• Relevant IT qualification (certificate/diploma/degree) required.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
• Troubleshoot system and network issues and diagnose faults.
• Provide user support and create procedural docs/reports.
• Set up new user accounts and profiles; manage password issues.
• Liaise with developers and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.

About the role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and hands on IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team in our Mount Waverley Office. Reporting to the CIO, you will be responsible for the day to day support of all IT systems within the company, which will include but are not limited to:

• Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems and applications Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
• Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults
• Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
• Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
• Testing and evaluating new technology as well as supporting the roll-out of new applications
• Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
• Managing multiple open support incidents and liaising with stakeholders to resolve issues
• Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with users and professionals, e.g., software developers
• Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment

About you:

• A thorough knowledge of operating systems, networking, hardware and software
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to explain solutions to non-technical users
• A demonstrated independent and passionate interest in all things technology
• A detail-oriented working style and the ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Certificate, Diploma, Degree or equivalent in IT or Computer Sciences is essential
• 3+ years IT experience in similar roles
