Qualifications

  • Strong Microsoft 365 experience: Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams.
  • Hands-on Mac and Windows end-user support.
  • VMware virtualization experience.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and IT security basics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-level support for desktop, server, network, and telephony infrastructure.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, and user inquiries to resolution.
  • Monitor daily operational health checks across the IT environment.
  • Troubleshoot and escalate major incidents to senior teams.
  • Liaise with vendors and document procedures in the ITSM system.
  • Participate in shift rotations and on-call support as needed.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Analyst to join a global IT Infrastructure team on an initial 6-month contract based in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on IT professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex technical issues, supporting end users, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of infrastructure services.

In this role, you will provide day-to-day operational support across desktop, server, network, cloud, and telephony environments while ensuring systems remain secure, available, and aligned with established IT standards. You will work closely with local and global teams, supporting business-critical technology services and helping drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first and second-level support for desktop, server, network, and telephony infrastructure.
  • Manage and resolve incidents, service requests, and user enquiries through to successful resolution.
  • Monitor and perform daily operational health checks across the IT environment.
  • Troubleshoot and elevate major incidents where required to senior technical teams and engineering functions.
  • Support Microsoft 365 technologies including Teams, Exchange Online, and SharePoint.
  • Perform administration and maintenance activities including patching, backups, monitoring, and capacity management.
  • Assist with infrastructure projects, upgrades, and technology rollouts.
  • Ensure all incidents, changes, and requests are accurately recorded within the ITSM platform.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers to resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding service outages, maintenance activities, and incident updates.
  • Contribute to IT knowledge base documentation and operational procedures.
  • Participate in shift rotations and on-call support when required.
  • Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and cyber security initiatives.
Skills & Experience Required
Technical Skills
  • Strong experience supporting Microsoft technologies including:
  • Active Directory
  • Group Policy
  • DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 services including:
  • Exchange Online
  • SharePoint
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Strong hands‑on experience supporting Apple devices and operating systems, including MacBooks, macOS troubleshooting, deployment, configuration, upgrades, and end-user support.
  • Experience supporting mixed environments comprising Apple MacBooks and Windows devices.
  • Experience administering VMware virtualisation environments.
  • Exposure to storage technologies such as SAN, vSAN, and DAS.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms and AV technologies (HP/Poly).
  • Understanding of Cisco networking fundamentals including routers and switches.
  • Exposure to cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
  • Knowledge of IT security principles and remediation activities.
  • Experience with internet security technologies including Zscaler and Check Point Firewalls.
  • Experience using IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow.
