IT Services Delivery Lead: Security, Governance & End-User Support

Job summary

Benmax, a Canberra-based leader in mechanical services, is seeking an IT Delivery Lead to command the delivery and operational performance of IT services and end-user support across the business. You will translate ICT strategy into practical solutions, build a capable team, manage vendors, oversee Microsoft 365, identity, networking, backups, and telephony, and own cyber security posture.

You will report on performance and costs, drive improvements, and plan technology projects and system

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' IT experience with at least two in service delivery leadership.
• Tertiary IT qualification.
• Experience in IT procurement, licensing and vendor management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Windows and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of cyber security fundamentals including the ACSC Essential Eight.
• Strategic mindset with readiness to contribute at an operational level when required.
• Strong communication skills for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and operational performance of IT services and end-user support across Benmax.
• Build and develop a team that delivers exceptional service and supports broader goals.
• Manage relationships with vendors, carriers, MSPs and group IT teams.
• Oversee core platforms including Microsoft 365, identity and access management, networking, Wi-Fi, backups and telephony.
• Own our cyber security posture, including endpoint protection, MFA, patching and incident response.
• Manage the full lifecycle of technology assets, from procurement through upgrades and support.
• Set up governance with policies, procedures, documentation and service agreements.
• Report on performance and cost, and drive improvements.
• Plan and deliver technology projects and system integrations, keeping them within scope and on track.
• Manage incidents and disruptions when they happen, coordinating response and keeping people informed.
